The processes of stabilization and improvement of the contained organic substance in the compost have been followed by means of the determination of the parameters of the umificazione and the relative indices, previewed from the national legislation on fertilizers to the start, the term of the active phase and to the term of the treatment. The determination of the indices of the umificazione has allowed better to characterize the improvement of the organic substance in the compost, than it is evidenced with with an increase of the quota umificata to scapito of that one not umificata. For a reason or purpose esemplificativo, in figure 1 the course of the indices of the umificazione for one of the conduct tests is brought back. The increasing course of degree (DH) and rate (HR) of umificazione.e the decreasing course of the index of umificazione (HI turns out obvious). The determination of such indices for products deriving from cycles of production of various duration has allowed to correlate the determined values for the end products with the parameter time; in figures 2, 3 and 4 filler the course found for everyone of the three indices.
It can be observed as to an increment of the duration of the production cycle figure 2 corresponds a slow one but to regulate increase of the value of the DH (), than rooms from values of 65% approximately with a cycle of 90 days until to little inferior values to 80% with a cycle of 180 days. For index HI (figure 3), instead, finds a decreasing course marked, even though less regular; part from values comprised between 0.6 and 0.5 and is come down to smaller values of 0.3 for a cycle of 180 days. Index HR (figure 4), although monster equally an increasing course to prolungarsi of the compostaggio cycle, evidences one greater variability. The book values vary from the 30 to 38% passing from the 90 to the 180 days of treatment, but for intermediate times they have been found values of elevated HR also more.
